5 Things About Me
June 7, 2023 - 12:14 pm
Since my blog posts have only been about my life, the people in my life, and my faith, I wanted to write a post about myself. Think of it like a little icebreaker on the first day of school, but luckily I won’t have to stand up in front of a group of people to explain! :) Here are 5 things about me for you to read if we don’t know each other well. <3
1- I have three older brothers. Ned, Mike, and Russell. As much as it sounds like it sucks to grow up without sisters, I truly have learned so much from each and every one of my brothers. I can say with full confidence that I have grown some thick skin as well because we all know how pestering brothers can be. My brothers are all very driven, successful, and loving. They have always been, and definitely always will be protective of me, which I am very thankful for. I am very lucky to have them.
2- I’m an aunt! Ever since I was six years old I’ve been an aunt. My brother Ned has four beautiful children– three girls and a boy, and I love them with my whole heart. My other brother Mike has one boy and he’s the newest edition to the Milin family, he’s such an angel and he is so loved. I do have a soft spot for my nieces though, since I never had sisters growing up. My nephews, however, are the cutest boys I’ve ever seen in. my. life.
3- I’m very much an introvert. I absolutely love being in my own space, being independent, and doing things that I enjoy doing. However, when I am around people that I know and love, the extroverted Marissa tends to make an appearance. I do love the occasional night out, but my ideal Friday night is spending time at home, reading a book, journaling, or watching a movie.
4- I really, really, really, love my friends. I hold my friends near and dear to my heart. I also find myself prioritizing them and their well-being right next to my own. I would do just about anything for my friends. Whether they’re my friends from school or friends I’ve met since then, I truly have so much love for them. It’s the friends who have been there for me no matter what, the friends who have never done me wrong, and the friends who simply make me a better person. I love you & you know who you are. :)
5- I’m half Croatian! My dad was born in Croatia and moved to the USA when he was 14. I have dual citizenship here in the USA as well as in Croatia. I have so many good things to say about Croatia. It’s beauty, culture, the people, the food, you name it. I still have some family over there as well, so whenever my family gets the chance to travel there, it’s always an amazing time.
& those are a few things about me!
